Project Overview
EWS Environmental Services recently completed a specialist project involving the encapsulation of asbestos-insulated pipework. In many older buildings, pipe insulation was applied using materials containing asbestos fibres, particularly chrysotile. If disturbed or deteriorating, this insulation poses serious health risks and requires professional management.
Rather than full removal, which is not always necessary or practical, this project involved encapsulating the asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) to safely seal and contain the fibres, preventing any risk of airborne exposure and ensuring full compliance with asbestos regulations.
