Our team recently completed a specialist asbestos chrysotile flooring removal and adhesive encapsulation project, ensuring the safe management and containment of hazardous materials. Many older properties feature chrysotile asbestos-containing flooring, which poses a serious health risk if disturbed. The adhesive used to fix these floor tiles can also contain asbestos fibres, requiring expert handling and encapsulation.
For this project, we carefully removed the asbestos flooring while ensuring the encapsulation of the remaining adhesive, following strict UK asbestos regulations to prevent fibre release and ensure long-term safety.
Asbestos Testing & Risk Assessment

Safe Chrysotile Flooring Removal
- Used controlled removal techniques to carefully lift and dispose of asbestos-containing floor tiles.
- Applied specialist wetting methods to suppress airborne asbestos fibres.
- Ensured all removed materials were sealed and bagged in approved hazardous waste containers.
Encapsulation of Asbestos Adhesive
- Applied HSE-approved encapsulation coatings to seal the asbestos-containing adhesive safely.
- Created a protective barrier to prevent asbestos fibre disturbance in the future.
- Ensured the encapsulated surface was safe for further floor installation or refurbishment.
Licensed Waste Disposal & Compliance
- Transported asbestos-containing waste to a licensed disposal facility, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Provided waste transfer documentation, confirming legal and environmentally responsible disposal.
- Carried out final site cleaning and air quality monitoring to ensure the area was asbestos-free.
